Their Secret:
There are three E’s which plays a very important role in athletes’ life. They are Energy, Effort, and Encouragement. The athlete’s energy as we have discussed is very important. It is everything. How much they are motivated or confident to achieve their goal defines them. Motivation is the driving force that pushes, nourishes them to reach their destination. Then it is effort. The effort is powerful. If the athlete is motivated but not putting all the effort to achieve the goal, then everything would go in vain. There should be a 101% effort so that they can succeed. They should love the “Grind”. Because the moment they start hating it is the moment they are walking backward. Then there comes encouragement. Encouragement also plays a vital role in the performance.

Studies have suggested that encouraging an athlete can be very beneficial. And where there is encouragement, there is self-talk. As we have already discussed, Self-talk is turned out to be very effective. What you say to yourself is shown in your performance. Your confidence can increase to a very high level; thus, you can do well in the field.
A high-motivated athlete has more future. Achievement-based people do more effort to enhance their performance. They get out of their comfort zone and make things happen. They sacrifice their whole life so that they can be the best in the game. They give their time more on the field. They always try to better themselves.
Studies have suggested that intrinsic-motivated people do well in the field. They improve their skills, and they try ways to enhance their talent. They concentrate more on the game and thus leading to less stress. But extrinsic-motivated people can fall into the trap if they use it more. They will compare their performance with another athlete who has played well, and it affects the self-worth and self-doubt that arises. They start to doubt their performance more thus leading to low motivation.
